are lagottos hypoallergenic?

While there is no such thing as a truly “hypoallergenic” dog, the Lagotto Romagnolo’s curly coat rarely (if ever) sheds, which makes this breed an excellent choice for those who suffer from allergies.

what can i expect out of an adult lagotto?

When full grown, Lagotto Romagnolos can range from 16-19 inches in shoulder height, weigh between 24 and 35lbs, and are expected to live 15-17 years. The AKC rates the breed as incredibly affectionate with family members, good with young children, and excellent with other dogs.

what about hips?

All puppies are born with normal hips; however, hips in a puppy are very fragile and need to be taken care of. A puppy raised on slippery surfaces, overfed with poor quality food, and/or neutered at an early age will have a greater risk of developing hip dysplasia. Overexerting a puppy, especially before their joints are fully developed, can lead to joint damage. Avoid activities like jumping from heights or running on stairs, especially during the early months.

spaying and neutering?

Our clients are required to sign a spay/neuter contract. This is to preserve the lines we as breeders have tested and worked hard to create while preventing accidental litters from occurring.

There has been some debate on what age is best to spay or neuter. We recommend waiting until the dog has reached puberty for peak physical development. Our contract stipulates that puppies must be spayed/neutered by 12 months old. 

what is the price of a puppy?

The cost of one of our adorable puppies is $2,500. Puppies will go to their new home between 9-11 weeks old (depending on the maturity level of the puppy).  We require a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 to reserve a puppy. Puppy selection is based on reservation list order. Puppies are placed first and foremost regarding temperament and family lifestyle, with thought given to the family preference for gender and color.

accepted forms of payment?

We accept cash or payment through Zelle or CashApp.

Personal checks are accepted for deposits, however, reservation list position will be determined by the date the check cleared, not when it was received.

Personal checks are not accepted for balance payments.
